The Emerging Industry Infrastructure Fund (EIIF) is a NSW Government fund that targets new industries where NSW has, or could have, competitive advantage and where co-investment in joint infrastructure will both build existing industry and attract global companies and investment into NSW. The target infrastructure will be embedded in a relevant NSW innovation precinct.
The EIIF is consistent with the Priority Actions in the Turning ideas into Jobs: Accelerating R&D in NSW Action Plan. The EIIF has been allocated $8 million in funding over two years (2021/22 and 2022/23).
The program for the EIIF will be informed by the 20-Year NSW R&D Roadmap, another ARDAC Action Plan priority, which was released on 3 May 2022. The Roadmap identifies NSW’s current and future research and industry competitive advantages and will inform NSW’s R&D investment and activity over a 20-year timeframe.
